Spring Market…..Barn Finds…..& New Adventures

Greetings friends! I hope all is well with you and yours. I wanted to be sure to post about the upcoming Spring Artisan Market! Be sure to click on the link to find more information and join in the fun if you are close by! This year will hopefully be even better than last, that’s always a goal of mine – get better and better with each year that passes. It will be fun to see how it looks five years from now, ten years from now? We shall see what the future holds!

One thing for certain – the future will be holding some slip casting molds – that Joe and I found stashed in someone’s covered area, thanks to a FB market place link that my daughter sent me. Technically it wasn’t even a barn find – but man, it might as well have been! Loads and loads of slip casting molds – so much fun, but they are so big! I left at least 2,000 behind, so I need to take some credit for that….right? I only brought home 25, still thinking about the ones I found, but left…but do I really need them? NO…!!!

And I swore I would never do slip casting, and yet, here I am, gearing up for yet another adventure!! At least it’s in the same realm as pottery? It’s not like I’m taking of wood working…..((yet))…

However, with all of this chatter about slip casting….and spring markets, I need to focus on getting seeds and plugs into dirt within the next week or so, then I can do some playing – maybe!!

I need to clean out the greenhouse, for all the plugs, and make room in the garage to sort the plugs and try the slip casting – which means move some of my mom’s things around…which brings up an update on mom.

She is settling down in her new place, she tells me she hates it there, that the food is horrible, but then we talk about how it’s better there then at home, or a different facility. However, today they moved her to a new room, I will go visit her today, to see how all of that went. I’m not favorably impressed with the facility, the lady that was super patient and kind with mom is gone – but the lady who is all fake, can’t mange to read or respond to an entire email and ridiculously over the top kiss-assy is the one we have to deal with. Hopefully it won’t be too much of an issue, nothing is perfect.

Unfortunately they discovered that the clot in her left leg has gotten bigger, and she now has a new clot in her right leg. They are putting her back on blood thinners (she had to go off of them three years ago, due to being a fall risk), so hopefully that will take care of the blood clots. Now we just wait and see.
